Casa Nana is situated in Agua Amarga, a beautiful and charming village in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.  The park has over 60km of unspoilt coastline, and some of the cleanest beaches and water in Europe. Many of the beaches and coves can only be reached by foot or water and as such are quiet and untouched.

The Tabernas desert, the backdrop to many of the spaghetti westerns, is situated just behind the park, and is the only desert in Europe. Naturally this is a very dry area; Almeria province has very little annual rainfall and is officially the sunniest part of Spain.

The nearest airport to Agua Amarga is Almeria airport, which is a 40 minutes drive away. Granada airport and Murcia airport are both a 2 hour drive from Agua Amarga. The nearest motorway, the Autovia Mediterraneo (A7, E15) is a 15 minute drive away from the village. This makes the remote and tranquil village surprisingly accessible. Carboneras is a large town which is a ten minute drive away. Here you will find larger supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and the local emergency room. Carboneras also has a long town beach popular with wind surfers.
